Super cute coconut bowls of Kanika from a Fair Trade project in Vietnam. This bowl has a cream color and has piece of shell inlaid. Because it is painted in a special way, you can use the bowl for everything.
The dimensions of a bowl are approximately 13 cm x 13 cm x 5.5 cm in size. Because it is a natural product, the size and shape may vary.
About the project:
As for 200 years, the Thai village Duyen is known in northern Vietnam for its paintwork. Originally, the lacquer was used among other things to decorate candlesticks and vases in temples. At present there are about five hundred people involved in the process of lacquerware in the village. Most of them work in their own home to certain products or steps in the process, for example on the basis of coconut shell, polishing etc.
